Blush Specific problem brought me here today...

I found this site while trying to search a specific problem I am having. I belong to another site where you can email a list...however I am desperate for an answer without having to consult my doctor if there is no reasonable cure for my problem so here goes..

A brief background: I had a car accident that resulted in many injuries including a disc at s1 l5 being removed, a disc above it being slipped but not removed, my left ulna being plated twice and then the plate removed, my neck c2-c6 discectomies and fusion, discovery of a chiari malformation and syrinx and decompression with cfs leak that eventually resulted in hydrocephalus... currently I have a jv shunt since the revision in November. Four shunt surgeries since the initial placement in Sept of '09.

My problem started immediately after the first shunt surgery but could have been related to either the neck or chiari surgery or repair of the cfs leak due to the surgeries happening one right after the other in '09.

So the problem: Since I started to recover in September I noticed immediately that I was sexually overstimulated. To make the problem easy to explain I will say this:

It is like once you turn the light on, it takes hours to shut it off, and it during those hours it continues to get so bright it is blinding....umm get it?

It becomes so uncomfortable it is almost painful with excitement... is this usual for this kind of surgery and if so does anyone know if I can get it fixed? This problem has put a real stop sign in our sexual relationship. We are not new parteners, we have been together for many years with a very good sexual relationship.... and now this....

I am the female in the relationship. I am 40 years old and in very good shape and before this we NEVER had any problems in this area....

Suggestions, ideas, or any other information would be appreciated....

There are no medications that I am taking that could or would have caused this problem as I have been taking them all since long before the accident...

The only difference is my siezures are worse now than before the accident...

any information would be appreciated...

-just sign me embarassed...but desperate for an answer!
