It sounds like he may have started out like me. I am a "selective" eater, and I have openly refused to eat things I don't want, but couple that with appetite and psychotic blood sugar, and poof! Instant obesity (or so it seemed) because the things I wanted were often way too fattening, and because I was so hungry all the time, the lbs piled on quickly.

I am also the only one in my family to have had this problem. It could very well be the way hydro affects various chemicals in the brain that stimulate appetite. I know a LOT of folks with hydro, and we don't all have this problem, but I think enough of us do that it oughta be more closely investigated.
