Default intersting info...

Starting the 15th my dog, Pepper started being really confused and within 72 hours completely blind...Went to eye doc...My mom went with me and told him I had memory probs was why she was there. I told him I had hydro. He is in Charlotte apparently with several specialist...He started telling me that he worked with a neuro that was all the time shunting dogs. He said the little Taco bell dogs had hydro the most. He said the other day the other docter had shunted a guineapig... I had just wondered if our pets were able to be treated for hydro...

Well, Pepper has cateracts and has to have surger. He is 8 so he still has a lot of years to see the world.

Yesterday I saw my heart doc about the distal tickling the atery...I wore a monitor for 2 weeks I do have a mild tackacardia (I know I spelled that way wrong, but I don't know heart problem details too good) When they X-rayed my heart they could see the tip of the distal. Since I have been doing some better he thinks I can wait a bit before he suggest surgery to shorten the tube. But gave me a med to help slow my heart rate.

PS can someone tell me how to spell tackacardia?

Tachycardia, I think. I have heard of hydro in dogs before. When I was doing research on all my headache issues before, I came across some info, but don't remember where.

Default Yes ALL animals are able to get hydro.....

for one reason or another, as they all have cerebrospinal fluid, and therefore may develop problems with it. My dad has been invloved in shunting a dog before, as well as a horse.

We humans are not as unique as we like to think !
