Hi,
I'm new to this site and have a question. My father had shunt surgery about 2 years ago and is exhibiting signs of a possible blockage or malfunction. His family doctor and neurosurgeon are BOTH on vacation so I thought I would check to see if anyone has faced similar symptoms. It is complicated by the fact that Dad has early to mid stage dementia and has been exhibiting personality change, more fatigue and shuffling etc. We thought perhaps it was another stage of the dementia or possibly some more small strokes but the CT scan shows fluid building up again on his brain. His last scan was done last November. Is there something else we should be looking for that could maybe narrow it down to a shunt blockage or malfunction? He had blood work done and that was fine so it seems unlikely that it's an infection. Thanks. |
