Hi! We have similar stories! Astrocytomas and shunts. I am on my second shunt now - it has been 3 months. So far so good but it has altered my life.
I would love to chat - feels very lonely here because I don't know anyone in Australia with a vp shunt. I know they are out there!! But I am yet to find them.
My dream is for a ventricle stent instead of a shunt. Unlikely to happen....
