Default hydro and menningitis

How many out there have developed either viral or bacterial meningitis as the result of a shunt placement or revision? What have your recovers been like? I know recovery varies from person to person I would be interesting in hearing what others have had to go through.

The reason I ask is that I have has bacterial menigitis 3 times and have been fortunate to completely recover. the last time was in te fall of 2004 and it took 14 days of iv drugs to insure that my recovery was complete.

Regards to all
Mister
