Default New here: Have Hydrocephalus & Spina Bifida

Hi all

New to this site...

Umm... I've had Hydrocephalus since birth. Only had two shunts in my lifetime thus far, so I consider myself lucky (I'm almost 22 btw). So I'm officially an adult, with a child-sized shunt!

Sometimes I get some headaches, but so far all medical tests have shown that it isn't blocked and I'm in no danger of running out of the tubing that helps it drain. Occassionally get that really annoying pain in my neck around the shunt tube that literally makes me cry, but it usually goes away as quickly as it pops up. Not sure why... I wonder if anyone has had an experience like that.

Anyways, its nice to be able to come here and post and have people read and understand what Hydrocephalus actually is.

Really am happy to be here
