Default Future Employment Question

Hi,

I am wondering if your supposed to tell an employer about your problem/disability or need for limitations etc.

if you dont tell them then they can fire you when you cant finish your job etc. ... but if you tell them they wont hire you. Does anyone have any thoughts of advice on this matter or can say how their own experiences have worked for them? I have a RSI - but also have problems with my neck and back muscles - trigger points.

Thank you for any advice.

Do you have any friends who work H.R.? If so, they may have insight.

Regardless, though, I know someone I'll ask... who has the inside "scoop" - and because these are public forums, I don't want to post info. that possibly slaps the person I'm asking .

As soon as I have info., and I will be sure it's accurate, I'll post again.

My thoughts, for now, however, lead me to think: Only say and offer what is relevant to get a proverbial foot in the door. More can be stated once an interview is landed or a position has been offered. At that time, ADA compliance would factor.

Honesty, as I see it, is always best. It's not dishonest to reply in earnest to direct questions asked and, then, to supplement.

I know the law is one thing and I would be interested to know how that pans out - but I also know nothing works like its supposed to. I would also like to know the reality of what happens even though it might be against the law etc. I dont want to get a job and then keep getting let go. This is why I am asking.

Thanks

I am curious too! Thank you for raising this question Luna. And Bobbi, I am tuned in to see what your friend has to say. Thanks for addressing this
