WEll I just received the paperwork saying my claim was denied. The insurance company didn't even look at any medical records before denying it..lmao. They said they were working on "time". How nice...they had 21 days and denied it in 14 days! Before obtaining records. Well off to the lawyer I go...the fun now begins.
Oh, and the Dr was just playing things safe and billing my insurance company since nothing had been determined by the wc. He didn't want me to be stuck with high bill or not being treated. I can kinda see his point. So for now I'm stuck paying and dealing with this AWFUL PAIN! Another painful week ahead

i think this denial game will continue until they are charged interest on the money when they eventually "lose" and have to pay.....remember, they get to keep that money earning interest for them and they get to pay in dollars, that do to inflation, are worth less.....

If you are to get an attorney and want to punish the insurance company, instruct the attorney that you want to go into a hearing. The company will have to hire legal representation then, just like you had to; either that or accept a settlement only if they pay your attorney's expenses and fees in full.

the insurance company always has attorneys to go hearings.
that is what they do. your first and most important action is to get the claim accepted by the wc system. it is a great think that your getting treatment for it and don't have to wait for the claim to be accepted, that is a big plus. |
