Default CA Findings, Awards & Orders

I have recently received my Calif Findings, Awards & Orders. I had a long a complicated case of 21 years plus. Even with my work comp attorney, he is having a difficult time explaining what the settlement really says! I have made 3 calls to him and he gives me a different answer every time. I know I will have to get after him until he finally explains it to me. At least the process is over for me. I did receive lifetime medical on my body parts affected by my work injury. I just need to know the money I yet will be receiving! I'm sure you all would want to know the details as I do! Does anyone have experience with receiving these difficult to read legal papers? I see we don't have much activity on this important site. Thanks for any helpful input!

One reason that there is not a great deal activity or legal expertise, in this forum is that this site is mainly here for support for chronic pain and related conditions. Of course, this can include residual and chronic pain resulting from work-related injuries, but the main object of this site is not to provide legal advice. Because every state's laws are different, and every case unique, and even in one state can vary depending on the injury date with regard to any changes over time in the law . . . I would be wary of relying on anyone but your attorney or your State's industrial insurance board for your answers.

If your settlement is that difficult to understand, it might not be a bad idea for your attorney to request clarification from the judge. That is what I would do before too much more time passes. This might just require that you make an appointment and talk to him in person, since you do not seem to be getting very far with phone calls.

I hope you get clarification soon . . . I know waiting and wondering (especially after all this time) does not feel very productive or helpful.

Default Default CA Findings, Awards & Orders

I did talk to my attorney today and he is requesting an accounting of what my award consist of, he said it could take up to 30 days. Thanks for all you advice through these years. I remain a chronic pain patient from my work injury with Bilateral Brachial Plexus injury made complicated by many surgeries and complications from surgery as well. Thanks
