Default Still no concrete diagnosis!!

Hello everyone, it is a bad day today. I just can't seem to get a proper diagnosis still after almost 3 years!!UGH!!! Could be some symptoms from C5@C6 spinal stenosis. I have been diagnosed with myofascial pain, a surgeon said I had double crush, scalene copmpression on the plexus(tos). At least all involved say it is do to repetitive strain injuries. I am still in physical therapy, it is going alright, I guess I will be in the grey area forever!! When I go to see my family doctor next week, I will ask about a followup mri to my neck, and mri for my left shoulder. Just a bad day!!!
Thanks guys

Default update

Hi everyone been feeling miserable. on going pt, new drug gabapentin, and more tests coming emg and cervical mri, again. Lots and lots of burning, my whole arm is on fire but my poor hand gets cold, and sweats at the same time. I know I'm not crazy. This pain is real, and I'm not a doctor but after 3 years I have gotten worse. Why all this burning and now another drug!! My can't I just wake up from this nightmare????

As always thanks for such great support.

Hello Jo; Thanks for the link, and of course thanks for your support. I had a look on the rsd site. It very much sounds like rsd, symptoms etc. The gabapentin helped with some of the pain, first dose 40 minutes later had some relief. Why can't I get the help I need, it shouldn't take 3 years of me getting worse before this puzzle is pieced together. This site and you Jo and the gang have given me so much support, thanks again.

well I hate to say it but it's the "system" wc is a pain for those that are really hurting and injured - things are just strung out for so long.

Don't feel alone, many in the WC system have had cases lasting many yrs too- esp those with hard to prove injuries such as TOS & RSD etc.

Default diagnosis limbo

i myself would feel better if i felt the docs were at least doing more diagnostic testing for me, i have been diagnosed with rsd, but have lots of weird things going on with my body. i've not had emg, follow up mri's, x'ray's nothing since my last surgery almost a year and a half ago. it just seems like nobody takes my health seriously but me. if you would have told me that all of these things could happen to me due to a torn rotator cuff i would have told them they were crazy. now, i feel like i'm the one going crazy. seems like negligence to me. seems like pure b.s. to me. sorry to go on like this, i know i'm not in this boat alone and i appreciate being able to let it out sometimes, thanks jenny

Hi Jenny; Please feel free to vent, I know I do. Delay, deny and save money, thats what wc is about. It's not personal to them, it's just a job. Please keep on top of them for further testing. Push back, in a polite way of course. I know how you feel. Please stay strong, so you can put your energy into fighting for what's rightfully yours.
