Hello Everyone, I am a recent college grad. I started college back in 2006 and ended up having to take a medical leave for years. I came back and finished my degree. I am trying to become a teacher or educational professional in general. In order to do that I was going to go and get my Masters in Teaching. One of the requirements is that I do 80 or so hours of work with children which I am completing right now. I am volunteering as teachers assistant and I am noticing how exhausted I am only working part time with a few students. I am worried that I am not going to be handle working full time as a teacher or if I want to. But I know that I want to work with students. I have no idea what to do. Any thoughts or words of wisdom?

You might look into also working as a teacher for a home schooling program, where you meet with your students once a month. You might consider applying to teach classes online as well. Even tutoring at after school programs can pay quite well. If you want to try teaching in k-12, I would recommend applying at private schools with small class sizes. There are some sub specialties that would allow you to work with 1 child at a time in public schools. Best of luck. |

I had taken an insurance license, and it has gave me something for the long run, as this is a business.
Driven a lot messes me up because when I am stitting with my arm in the steering wheel, my occipital nerve complains, and it gets bad news. Of course, i try to avoid it, but i cant drive just with one hand all the time, and it really worries me safetywise.. So anyway, you might want to look into having your own business too. mentally, you need to be strong, so i strongly recomend reading about positive afirmations. In my case the insurer denies everything they can, and any psychological support too..sometimes i think: what about if I was really bad crazy??? but then, I read more to convince myself its not worth it to spend my time reacting to people that don't know what they are doing... I found that by forcing myself every day to practice positive affirmations in the morening, it helps me through out the day. With more pain, or with les pain, treatment approved, denied or delayed, rain or shine, I say to myself everyday: Its a beautiful day today! Tomorrow will be even better!! |
