Default Don't agree on rating

Can anybody tell me what is the next step when you don't agree with an impairment rating?

Thanks in advance

Don't know what entity you are dealing with, but I would expect that there is a review option available. Should be in the fine print of whatever they gave you. Try Google with the name of the organisation and something like review rating or decision.
You may need additional backup for the review, so see if you can get a specialist to do a report.
Sometimes I think they give the first attempt a low score to weed out the weaker cases. if you persist, with the right backup, you might do well. but you must be well armed with solid medical evidence.

states or countries would have differing laws/rules about that , but I'm sure there are ways to appeal the decision.
Do you have an wc attorney working for your side of the claim?

If not now might be the time to do some free consult/interviews with some and they should give you a quick overview of how and if they could help you.

Okay, here is the latest..

I got a 7 % foot rating and I did not agree. I got all of my medical records and got confused. It seems that from one appt. to another the diagnosis would change; probable RSD, Early RSD, RSD not likely, probable RSD etc. I also read the part where I would without a doubt have arthritis in that foot and that because of the removal of the bone frags, stability will be an issue.

WC sent me a form to fill out and sign ( signing was just proof that I received the info) I filled out the paperwork but I also attached a letter voicing my concerns.

Basically I wrote; I believe that if I was guaranteed arthritis and that I had Probable, possible, not likely RSD and that fact that I fall all of the time because of stability issues the rating was a little low.

I also expressed my concerns for future employment because of not being able to be on my feet for very long without the burning stabbing pain...

Of course I was not sarcastic in my letter and I was very polite and professional.

I received a phone call today ( wasn't home ) and the WC person said that she got my letter and said my concerns were valid and that she would assign me a new case nurse and that maybe the doctor missed something and I should go back and get re-checked. I REALLY DO NOT want to go back to the same doctor. He was okay but to be honest, I don't think any of the 4 or 5 doctors that I had listened to me. I wasn't asking for more money I was just concerned about future medical. 2600.00 isn't gonna cut future issues.

I guess I am just asking if I am being unreasonable. I know what this foot can and cannot do but getting that point across to the doctors is impossible. Is a 7% impairment rating a fair rating for a foot with definite future arthritis and possible, probable, not likely RSD, burning, stabbing, bug crawling, aching and unstable foot that makes me fall ? Phew.... love that run-on sentence. I am kinda goofy tonight ,,, took some hydro.

I thank you in advance for any words of wisdom you may send my way.

Oh on a lighter note... I started the sacred heart soup diet on Sunday..... I gained 5 pounds And I never want to eat fruit, veges or soup again! I want meat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God Bless
