Default Hello, there is hope for so many.

Hello. I decided to join after seeing so many with the same questions I have had.

Previously diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and FM, Celiac disease, mental illness, allergies to many foods and scents, also allergies to the medications that eventually improved my conditions.

Bottom line: I have Lyme Disease. Here are at least my observations to questions I have seen on this forum:
- Some "genetic" illnesses such as Celiac Disease and Hypercoagulation not only have disappeared but so have the markers.
- At first I could not tolerate almost any antibiotic, but slow and if needed, taking breaks, got me to the point where I could tolerate almost anything prescribed.
- I have moved from bedridden to active again. Doctors who are willing to treat this set of diseases say that even into the seventies it is worth working on this illness.
- I was sick for many, many years but didn't know what was going on. Thought stress from my occupation was the problem. Moving alot, not home, long hours.
- Many symptoms: skin, hearing, weight, eyesight, pain, sleep, digestion, fatigue, tasking (important for engineers), short term memory were a result of Lyme and one other malaria-like infection.

I know this now because of the improvement I have made. I may have to be on some kind of treatment for a long time, but I am ok. So do diabetics and many others. Being able to contribute again is important. Not to mention making a living.

Thank you for this forum, many good thoughts and information.

Default Charlie*)!

Charlie!!! Do you have Babesiosis? Being in Oregon there is lots of WA1 Babesiosis there-

I used to be really sick with lots of horrible acronyms and I have been normal for years now but still on abx...

Yup, there is lots of hope- I was bedbound with progressive weakness, movement disorder, chorea with athetosis, chorea major, claw hand, micrography, bradykinesia, slurring, and now I am normal again*)!*)!!

Life is good.
Best wishes,
Sarah

Default Yes to Babesiosis

Sarah,

Good to see accurate terminology. Yes I do. It almost seems worse than the Lyme. So many things: migraines, lack of being able to sweat then sweats and chills, intolerance to caffeine, wine, sugar, temperature intolerance, stamina. All these areas and more have greatly improved since treating for WA-1 now named ducanii, since it has been found in many states and Europe.

Good to hear you are much better. I am posting because my first diagnoses were chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I have met many people with those illnesses who finally end up with treatable Lyme and other tick borne infections.

I see more and more people with these illnesses are beginning to treat for Tick borne infections. If I can help, then it is worth the time.

Happy New Year.

Default Yup*)!

Yup, Charlie, I feel the same way. I had fibromyalgia, CFS, also MCS TMJ RLS and IBS and progressive weakness with movement disorders & a progressive mutli-system neurological syndrome very Parkie in appearance.

I had HME, Babs, Bart & Lyme. I was on Mepron for two years!!!

Doc S of SF saved my life- he is an angel.

I have been normal for years now basically. Do you know Rita Stanley from Oregon??? If you haven't started a support group locally, go for it! There are also yahoo groups for every state now. I would like to see this forum more crowded because it is a great set-up here-

Nice to meet you*)!
Sincerely,
Sarah
