I took Prozac during my entire pregnancy. My son was born with a heart murmur. The pediatric cardiologists at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City followed his heart murmur for four years. They concluded that it was an "innocent" murmur. It was definitely detectable...every doctor who ever listened to his heart heard it but it did not cause a functional deficit that they could detect. I do believe that it was caused by the Prozac. Our family has no heart defects in the history. Neither does his father.
