I guess it depends largely on how long you took the cyclobenzaprine. This drug has some SSRI (serotonin effects) and if you take it long term in high dose, a sudden withdrawal may be similar to the serotonin reuptake withdrawal those drugs may cause.

Muscle relaxants mostly work in the brain, not in the muscles.

A taper off of this drug, using the immediate release tablets may be a good idea for you, and you may feel better as you discontinue slowly.

There are other things to help with muscles.
Magnesium is a good muscle relaxant.

I would make sure, since you see so many doctors, that Vitamin B12 and Vit D levels are measured for you. Both of these supplements can cause neurological symptoms when low. Vitamin D is getting alot of new attention within the last 2 years based on new research.

If your muscle issue is mitochondrial, there are some treatments using supplements for this. Your doctors should be explaining this to you if that is the case.

I don't know what you have been going through, but myself I have been off of Amrix about a week now and my dr put me on another I can't even begin to spell. But I'll tell you what is happening to me and I don't know if it is the combo of getting off of Amrix and starting the other or just getting off the Amrix. The past week has been sheer hell at night for me when I am sleeping. I have in the past days imagined being pulled out of my bed and put on the floor and could not move. When I tried to yell for my wife all she said she heard was her name in a wimper like voice, now I am almost 6' and 260 I can yell!! and I am not afraid of anything man nor beast, I spent 15 yrs in the military so I do not scare easily. But when she reached over to wake me she said my skin was cold and I had goose bumps all up and down my arm.
Last night same thing different episode, I got very very scared I couldn't speak or move, the goose bump thing and cold skin was reported by my wife again, but the kicker here is when she woke me up and i opened my eyes I saw a full figure sitting at the end of my bed staring at me then turn away into a grayish mist and disappear. It seems it is getting worse by the night so i have decided to discontinue use of the new drug and see if that helps. I hope in no way you are experiencing what I am because it is very frightening and makes me very uneasy especially for my family. I do not and have not opened any doors to the paranormal in any way shape or form and the only thing I can think of that is causing this crap is getting off the Amrix and starting this new medicine at the same time, or it could be the new medicine. Either way I am stopping it today.
Like I said I do not know what you are experienceing but if it is in anyway like mine please let me know it will give me so much peace knowing that it is the drug leaving my system and that I am not alone. And if it is I am about to put a huge article over the internet warning of the things that a person could experience getting off of it.
