I have an elderly aunt who is on synthroid, which we're told should be taken on an empty stomach. We're starting her on B12, which should also be taken on an empty stomach.
Can the two be taken together? If not, how do people work the scheduling? Doc

I take mine together. Both on an empty stomach.
No problems. Free cations like calcium and magnesium and zinc or other free minerals may complex thyroid hormone and prevent absorption. But the cobalt in the B12 is complexed organically within the methylcobalamin and doesn't seem to affect it.
