Smile Lamictal

Hello,
I am a 32 year old female with migraine induced seizures. I have been on many preventatives and all have either not worked or the side effects were horrible. My doctor currently has me on depakote but wants to switch or add lamictal. What are the side effects? Does it cause weight gain? What about the Lamictal Rash?

Thank you for all of your help!
Kristie
