Oh, Lara, your post is very pertinent for this reason:

Why oh why do doctors treat things with drugs that cause what they are treating for?

Antipsychotics and Reglan cause Tardive which is a serious tic disorder. Many conditions in medicine have this issue and it is perplexing to say the least. Tardive is often permanent, and if people get better, I say they are the lucky lucky ones!

Constant use of diuretics leads to beri beri which causes edema!
There are many of these paradoxical treatments out there!

I'll have to agree. Not all ticks are tourette's. Many of today's doctors throw convenient labels on these things without making the proper diagnosis.
