Default Too little too late

I wish I would have checked sooner. I had trigger point and epidural steroid injections several times earlier this year. This inofrmation probably does you no good now but I would be interested to see how you are feeling. The injections did not help me at all...not even for a minute. But the pain from them went away within days. Except for the epidural in my neck-that hurt for a while at the injection site.
I have recently begun Xeomin (similar to Botox) injections. I am actually going for round 2-teet gritted- tomorrow. They are difficult, more difficult than I thought, but actually did help after a while with my muscle spasms. I would be happy to give more info if you want.
Hope all went well and that you are feeling better. If not, then my sympathy through dealing with the pain.

but first must have 3 sets of diagnostic shots -
-
8 shots - 4 on each side of spine by discs --
these hurt a lot -and no relief --
-
said i want to go to physical therapy and a different soft brace --
-
see the head spine surgeon in one week -

Hi ~ Whenever I had any epidural injections, they put me in "Lala" land, and I didn't know what was going on. When I woke up, it was over and I was fine.

There was only MINOR discomfort at the injection site, and that was taken care of with ice. I'd use the ice for about 20 minutes every 2 hours, if it still hurt. But I can't even call it "pain" -- it was more of an ache.

You shouldn't need any extra care -- you'll be fine. They tell you to rest the rest of the day that you had the injection. The 2nd day, you're pretty much back to normal, except for perhaps a slight ache. But nothing serious ever happened, and I've had a bunch of these unfortunately.

One word of advice -- if the FIRST injection doesn't work, don't let your doc talk you into having any more injections -- they won't work either. I've read medical journals on these, and they ALL say don't have any more injections if the first one doesn't work.

Best of luck, and I hope you get some relief, even if it IS temporary. Hugs, Lee
