1) What is your view on Cipro for mild diverticulitis? used in conjunction with flagyl...
2) How does tramadol work as an anti depressant? it worked better than the dose of welllbutrin i am on, was wondering if they acted on different chemicals?

The fluoroquinolone family can cause PN in some people...and Flagyl is a known PN causer, so together they may lead to problems.
The unfortunate aspect is that there are not many drugs left to treat this problem. So benefit vs risk has to be considered.
Many doctors do not know about this, so see my thread in the subforum for documentation.

Tramadol works on serotonin receptors indirectly. Not a strong effect but enough to help Fibro people, for example, or those with PN. Wellbutrin typically works on dopamine. It is the only main antidepressant with this action, too.

You might want to try Kefir... to stabilize the GI lumen. That may help alot. Kefir has 12 cultures. I've been using it for 3 weeks now with tremendous success! Available at Kroger's in the health food aisle and most quality health food type stores.
Lifeway is the main brand out there with many choices.
You might be able to avoid the antibiotics all together!
