The Neurooathy Support Group is touting a new combination of vitamins and natural elements called Neuropathy Support Formula. The main ingredient is
R-Alpha Lipoic Acid. I am currently on a Prednisone regimen for Sensory Peripheral Polyneuropathy which has been effective in reducing inflammationi in my hands and yet not in my feet. This PN is the result of a double dose of the H1N1 vaccine from the fall of 09 given in error. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this new formula ? |

This link has the ingredients. Does your label say take on an empty stomach? This label does not specify empty stomach.... which both the B12 and lipoic acid need to be taken that way for adequate absorption. This label also does not specify r-lipoic acid stabilized (sodium salt). Unstabilized is not absorbed as well. So if you decide to use this product, make sure you take on an empty stomach. The prices claimed at the bottom of that page, are rather inflated. The B12 would cost about 30 cents a day, taken separately. The claim for D cost and the B6 and B2 are inflated also. I buy my D3 5,000 IU at Puritan's Pride for pennies a day. The Benfotiamine could cost what they claim. But then one does not always need so high a dose. This is a shotgun product, and there something for everyone in there. Not everyone however, may need all of that.

In regards to vaccine injuries.... inflammation is the most likely
cause of your problem. In some people a cytokine storm is the result of vaccines. The European vaccines had squalene in them which is very allergenic. Some of the US vaccines also, (European ones were imported after about Nov here because the non-squalene vaccines were in very short supply.) The best explanation about vaccine reactions is on YouTube by Dr. Blaylock MD who has researched this problem at great length. This is a link to part 1 of 4 parts of this interview by Dr. Mercola of Dr. Blaylock. Dr. Blaylock also has his own website. Part 2 is the major explanation of "cytokine storms" some people get from vaccines. So in essence your treatment using prednisone is probably far more accurately targeting your current problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--nWrqIspnQ The formula being asked about here is for people who may be deficient in B12, or B1, or who have oxidative damage to the mitochondria. The lipoic acid is mostly for the oxidative damage. One thing NOT in that mixture is acetyl carnitine, which is often included in formulas for mitochondrial support (helping the mitochondria produce energy better.) D-ribose also helps at this target. Inflammatory damage to neurons also may be supported by Vit C, and antioxidants. Grapeseed extract is good for this, about 200mg a day, and affordable. Eating antioxidant rich foods, like blueberries, strawberries, and brightly colored veggies, is also helpful. I personally believe that vaccine induced injury is far more common than realized. So please watch Dr. Blaylock. He is really interesting and has other videos besides that 4 parter on YouTube. He has a newsletter you can sign up for. One poster here posted his recommendation for l-theanine for neuropathy, and I've been using that at 300mg at night since August, with great success. So check out this link: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...light=theanine
