Trig Hello and Welcome!!

Kell...

I do understand what you are saying.

I have been suicidal most of my life and have more attempts than I care to talk about... I've run out of fingers and toes.

I too am Bipolar! It has taken years.... I never knew what was causing the way I was feeling. Sometimes I was way WAY up feeling like I could fly! Other times I was so down that there was no way I could go any lower.

It's been about 7 years now, thanks to a friend who got me in her truck and said we were going for a ride--ending up at the mental health hospital, that I've been going to a Psychiatrist + Therapist. I've tried many medications and several combinations. I have to say that today I feel better than I have in years.

Please give the doctors a chance.... It may take some time... but it is worth it. The meds do work!!!!! It's just a matter of finding the right ones for you.

Bless your heart --- DO NOT take your life! You are NEEDED in this world. God put you here for a reason!!

Just because you need meds doesn't mean you have to be "drugged up" all the time. I also need medications, but I'm not loopy all the time. In fact I don't feel the effects of them at all. If you get the right dose, you're just fine! It takes some work, but it's WORTH IT. You just have to be patient -- and determined.

God has a plan for you here on earth -- it's up to you to find out what that plan is. But first you have to get to the doctor and start feeling better. I KNOW you can do that. I realize you've been thru a lot -- we all have. Please just keep trying -- we're here with you. God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee

I don't think that's a good - or even correct - way to view things.

Many of us have complicated medical issues going on that befuddle ourselves and our doctors. They do their best to help us by trying different therapies to find one or more that are effective. When one doesn't work, I don't think it's necessarily "wasted" - it eliminates certain things, and something can always be learned/gained from the experience.

I agree with Leesa; meds aren't intended or used in order to drug you up all the time. The intent is to balance the chemical imbalances in order to feel normal (or at least better than without anything). Finding the right balance for each individual may take some time/effort too. It may not be without some periods of feeling drugged up, but that tells the doctors they haven't found the correct solution yet; it eliminates what doesn't/won't work, and may provide clues for what will.

Please stay with it, try to stay positive, and if they don't find the right solution, look forward to communicating with them and taking an active part in/toward improving the results. Inventors, chemists, researchers, seldom find what they're looking for the first time out; it takes a few experiments. (Yes, I realize that may be the last thing you want to hear - being an experiment or experimented on.) If we were all exactly the same, that wouldn't be the case; one size would fit all, but we're not all exactly the same. We're all individuals who require individual solutions.

This is an opportunity to become involved in finding a way back/out. Help your doctors help you.

Doc

Default hello sadkill

We are here for you and Neruo Talk. Don't give up. Even if you have to take medicatons for pain, by-polar. That does not mean you failed. You didn't fail. Most of us do take medications, and our lives become a bit better. Allow us unto your heart, to try and help you. While there is still hope, there is life, allow the hope of better days to come. We all go through periods when we are severely crippled by emotional, or physical pain. I can relate to that very much. I come back here, fighting to keep on plugging away ever day! I care about you. There is support here, and ways to relieve some of the pain you are experiencing. You are not alone. I will be praying for you, I don't care what religion, or nationality, or gender you are. You are my family, my human family, we are all connected, more so that we realize. You are my sister, or my brother. I do feel dispair too, and when I come back here to talk, I go to those who provide direction and comfort to me. Allow me to give that same comfort back to you. ginnie
