Hello,

My daughter is on a medication called Clobazam or another term is Onfi.
It has done wonders for keeping her from having seizures. She takes it with Topomax. She has been on this since March of this year. It seems like in the last few months she has been slowly loosing her hair. She looks sooo tired all the time and since I have her on an extremely healthy diet, she is 100% g-tube fed, she looks thinner than ever. It is a high fat healthy fat diet.

So is there anyone here who has had these side effects or may think this could be a cause of hair loss or weight loss??

Hair loss, weight loss, drowsiness, and weakness (among many) are known side effects of topamirate,

Tiredness is a known side effect (among others) of clobazam.

Checking just one medication interaction site, I found: (emphasis mine)

Although an interaction is possible, these drugs are often used together with close monitoring by your health care provider. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how these drugs affect you. If you experience a seizure or notice any new or worsening side effects such as confusion, difficulty staying alert, dizziness, abnormal eye movements, irritability, difficulty in walking, tremors, or changes in mood, notify your health care provider. The date on this is quite old, so there may be more recent information. I'd check with my pharmacist, and then have a discussion with my doctor.

You might also try the search facilities to see if anyone here has mentioned these particular S/E here before.
