Default Gralise

Anyone have any experience with Gralise? My neuro gave me a sample pack on Wed for my back pain. So far it just makes me so tired. I tried the regular gabapentin and I slept for a week. The dr told me that I should be less sleepy on this b/c it's extended release. Idk what to think. I take Provigil to help with day time sleepiness, and with Gralise added, it feels like I haven't taken it. I guess when I go see my psychiatrist I can ask him to up the Provigil to see if that works. I kinda hope this med doesn't work though b/c it's sooooo expensive. Don't know how I'll swing the copay, which is $45. I already spend $150 a month on all my other meds.

Gralise is long acting, and also BETTER absorbed. Using it at high doses will increase side effects. It is supposed to be use at a much lower dose than regular gabapentin(Neurontin).

Alot of your question depends on what dose you are taking.

The first night I took 300 mg, last night 600 mg, and tonight I take 900 mg. I got the starter pack and it works you up to 1800 mg.

You may not need that much.... Call your doctor, with any further questions. This drug is new and doctors have little experience with it. No sense being a zombie, or falling down and hurting yourself, etc.
