Default Ketamine IV for TBI migraine?

I am new to forum and need some advice. I was hit by a DWI driver last year and have some complications. I had a moderate brain injury with a subdural hematoma and brain axon shearing. I've had a constant migraine type headache for 1 1/2 years and its killing me. There are other issues, but this is a tough one! My Dr now is awesome and has tried blood pressure med, neurotin, Topomax, Torodal nose spray, Fioricet, and many others that have not helped my pain. Today, they mentioned a Ketamine IV and it scares the heck out of me. I am a type 1 diabetic and it appears that med is hard on kidneys. And, several other possible side effects! With no quarantee of working, would you try it? Anyone tried it? If so, what was your experience? Thanks for any replies!!
