Some do, some don't, it is best to go slow, and up the dose weeks or even months apart. Let me know how you feel on it. Do you have depression at all? ginnie:hug:

I have had no side effects with the drug. That's why I would like to crank it up. Are you saying you did not get any pain releif from Gabapentin or you had too many side effects from it? I am not too depressed except for staring out at the two feet of snow that is still on the ground! Peace

Hi Packer

Hello on this nice day down here. I know quite a few folks on that drug. Maybe 10 on Neuro talk that get great benefits from it. Good pain reduction etc. Their doses are considerable higher than what you are starting with. They worked up to the dose they are on.
In my case, I have been seriously depressed. I took it for one week, and just about became suicidal on the drug. My doctor did tell me he thought it was from the medicine. I got off the drug quickly and those symptoms went away. I know one other person who reacted like that. I think going slow is your best option, then you can really tell if there is some kind of negative reaction. So far so good...hopefully you can have an up in the dose soon. I hope you get great benefit from it like most people do. I wish you all the best. Keep in touch, and keep your journal. ginnie:hug:

Thanks for all ofthe advice. I am starting to understand this drug more and know it needs to be respected. I split my 900 mg into three doses per day. I still think it is working. Pain and burning sensations are down. I think my muscle fasciculations are decreasing also. I don't seem to be as bummed out since my pain is better. I wonder if Gabapentin can melt snow in orthern Wisconsin
