Unhappy Gabapentin from different lab not working as well

I started taking Gabapentin for chronic pain in October of 2012. It has worked well for my pain and another WONDERFUL side effect has been that it completely stopped my hot flashes. I recently started taking Gabapentin from a lab that Express Scripts uses and my hot flashes have started again. Plus my pain levels have increased. Is it possible that the Gabapentin from a different lab is not as effective? I saw somewhere that the absorption levels can be different?

All input appreciated.

So - I realized this morning after comparing the pills in my pillbox with the new ones, that I actually have not started the new Gabapentin yet, so there goes my theory about the hot flashes, darn it! I hate hot flashes, they wreck your life...
