Default lidocaine substitutes
Are there any other local anesthetics to use other than lidocaine? Apparently I encountered more than mild side effects during an endometrial biopsy. The doctors suggests that I make sure if I ever have an epidural to let them know not to use lidocaine. She said there are options but I didn't ask what they were at the time.

Any insights?
