Default Prolia experiences?

Hi,
My Mom is almost 91 yrs old and her doctor suggested injections of Prolia for her osteoporosis. The side effects are beyond frightening. I am not comfortable letting her have it. She used to take Fosamax and Evista but I guess after decades of taking it, they have you stop for awhile. She has a new doc now who wants the Prolia.

What do you all take for Osteoporosis or recommend whether it is prescription or nartural?

thank you, diandra

Side effects lists are always scary.

Her doc is likely weighing the chance of those side effects occurring against the risks if she breaks a bone at her age & other conditions—IOW, a numbers game.

I don't want to dismiss the side effects side, but a lot of them are infrequent to rare, and many (if they show up) can be avoided/reversed by notifying her doctor and discontinuing the Prolia.

And consider—the list for Fosamax is just as scary.

This side of the equation can be pretty scary too, e.g.:
