Duloxetine (Cymbalta) is an SNRI antidepressant. Like Lyrica, it has helped—and is helping—a great many people, however also like Lyrica, some people are finding it very difficult to get off of (among other issues). I'm not suggesting this would/will happen to you, but I think considering your experience, it's something you should be aware of.
Here is one report about Duloxetine Discontinuation Syndrome isued by the American FDA. duloxetine snri serotonin syndrome duloxetine discontinuation syndrome Doc

That's correct; Thank you. (I corrected my previous reply)
Aside from that, everything else still holds. Quote:
Are they putting you on sertraline or duloxetine for depression, pain, Lyrica withdrawal or what? Doc

Hi Doc , Thanks. You express my concerns exactly. Been to Homeopath . Have you used them ? A number of suggestions being made including pregabalin in homeopathic potency . Have you heard of this. I feel as though my system is very hypersensitive after what I've been though so far and aI am very cautious. Own Doc basically taking attitude now of leaving all decisions to me after the carry on with the Lyrica. They seem a bit scared after me last reactions. Thanks Nick |

Difference between SNRI and SSRI
The SSRIs affect serotonin selectively and the SNRIs work a little differently and no so selective. from Mayo Clinic - scroll down each webpage to section to How SNRIs work How SSRIs work |

I don't buy into the whole concept; IMO, homeopathy is quackery. OTOH, if the doctors who say that, 'Lyrica withdrawal/discontinuation syndrome is all in a patient's mind' are correct, then homeopathy—which is also all in the patient's mind—may be a valid treatment/cure. — If so, it could validate those doctors' claims/positions for those patients. Quackwatch...
I read on his site long ago, but made my own decisions after actually studying & trying various therapies etc. that he pooh poohed... and they worked and helped for me. I will say that much depends on the practitioner, communication, and follow thru.
