I posted about a year ago about horrible leg cramps I have been having for over two years. No one seemed able to help me. I did start using magnesium cream, which did help a bit. However, I wanted to let people know that there is hope. My new pain management doctor started me on Ropinirole (.5 mg) about three weeks. It has completely stopped all of my leg cramping! I feel like I have been given a miracle. I haven't tried any serious hill walking yet, but I was at the point where I couldn't walk any distance at any relatively decent pace. I just wanted to make sure others knew about this in case it could help someone else in any way.
