Default tapering of Amitriptyline

Does any one know approximately how a schedule would be for tapering off from Amitriptyline. I know it would depend on dose and length of therapy. Therapy has been 20 mg for about 2 years. I know it has to be done under the doctor's care. I gues it needs to be done very slowly?
