And perhaps dangerous for some women:

All I can say, it's the pharma industry doing what they do best. Last night on TV, a new sleep drug on the market.
Wonder the number of males no longer here due to viagra. I had a bf yrs ago who was in clinical trials of viagra and he died at age 58. Heart attack. |

I wonder how many will think it is a one dose thing like Viagra etc....
but is a long term RX.... for those with actual dysfunctional loss of libido. And it may not even work for them... [ flibanserin is supposed to be taken daily and aims further north, changing the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain.] ["This opens the way for drug companies to pressure the FDA through public relations campaigns to approve more bad drugs: It's bad news for rational drug approval," she adds. ] http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/298349.php

Personally, I believe everyone should have DHEA levels check by their doctors. My integrative MD checked my DHEA levels probably 15 yrs ago and they were on the decline. Everything I've read is that DHEA starts it's decline around 20something. I've been taking DHEA daily for years. I posted about DHEA on the sexual section here some time ago.
http://www.diagnose-me.com/symptoms-...HEA-level.html At 77 I still feel a libido and feel all these years of DHEA have kept me healthier too. I'm not in favor of the new drug. |
