I have been taking 75mg of Amitriptyline at night for 3 months and want to come off of it. Can anyone please suggest what levels i should decrease and over what period of time.

Phil, this general information about discontinuing Amitriptyline and its possible side-effects might help you; http://mentalhealthdaily.com/2014/09...-do-they-last/ .

I reckon that it is best to discontinue with close supervision from your doctor.

Default Titrate down

Do it at your own pace and let your GP know your intentions. I developed severe side effects when I was on that dose, it also acts as a mild antidepressant in addition to muscle relaxant / pain relief so be aware you may experience bouts of tearfulness and feelings of helplessness.
