Default Tums and Thyroid

Short story kinda, a bridge friend who has a lot of trust in her MD's...was told by one MD years ago, it is OK to take Tums for calcium support. Over many years the friend developed calcium deposits on her thyroid and then a while later let a doctor removed a good portion of her thyroid. She later realized it was not the best decision. This person is not on the computer, but her daughter helps her on occasion.

This is also the friend who took statins for 30 yrs and is living with neuropathy for over 15 yrs.

Anyway, found this info on which drugs interfer with the thyroid meds.
