Default Neuro-structual chiropractic

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share my experience with neuro-structual chiropractic.

I'll give you a little bit of background of myself so you understand that I'm not just shooting the breeze: I've had RSD for any 6 years now located in my right calf muscle from an injury that occurred in a motorcycle accident. And I went through the sh-bang with the pain management doctors and the system. Blocks, physical therapy, etc etc. And I then finally had an SCS implanted about two years ago. But I was still having a lot of pain from stuff that I usually didn't get pain from before. And like a typical man I ignored it haha. Until one day my girlfriend was having some trouble with her back, shoulders and other joints. She looked into a local chiropractor in our area. And I went with her and figured what the heck why not I've tried to do all the other treatments. I might as well give this one a shot too. Free consultation and what have you. Nothing to lose. I had been to a chiropractor before but only in the sense of the regular stereotype that we all think of or at least what I think of. A bulked up short dude (possibly a retired wrestler that never made it to the big time) that twists people into pretzels to realign their spine. But this particular chiropractor was different. This specific kind of chiropractic is called neuro-structual chiropractic (that's a key phrase, remember that). Also the difference is that these specific chiropractors use instruments that use a certain amount of torque to adjust you. Reason being is the instrument itself can do more in a small area and move and deliver the needed pressure in the area than a regular chiropractor could deliver by just using their hands and body weight.

Now I'm a pretty big dude (6'7" 350lbs big). And I'm saying that to give a prospective as to how effective the treatment was/is for me. At the start before any kind of adjustments were made I was favoring my right leg (because that's the one that's messed up) so much that my weight distribution was 140lbs more on left side. Along with my neck, shoulders and hips being way off kilter.

3 months later after going two times a week I now only favor my right leg by 40lbs. And honest to god truth. Since the initial accident I have never been as mobile and active as I am now. And I don't use my SCS as much as I use to. My leg still bothers me from time to time as we all understand that in one way or another. But overall I would say that it's totally worth looking into.
