Default Homeopathy Reverses Cancer, Much more than Placebo

Another member and I have been discussing homeopathy in the Children's forum and cancer was brought up for discussion and homeopathics...I never thought of this but decided to do a search, and sure enough information is available.

I hope this link is printable here.

Much more than placebo:Homeopathy reverses cancer | CANCERactive

I'm certainly not endorsing this medicine for cancer, but one I never thought to look into.

And just remember, people who do pharma drug therapies for their cancers very often use many other adjuncts -- with their doctor's knowledge. This is where, in my life, a knowledgeable holistic cancer doctor is wonderful support.

I think that what is in the link above is not convincing.

I can see no evidence of what is called a double-blind clinical trial there. These are standard in evidence-based medicine.

In a double-blind clinical trial some subjects, at random, get the possible new treatment (in this case a homeopathic treatment) and other subjects get nothing (a placebo).

The phrase "double-blind" is important. Nobody involved in the trial knows which subjects got the possible new treatment (in the case the possible homeopathic treatment) and which subjects got placebo until the trial is over.

If somebody can show me the results of a well-designed clinical trial which shows that homeopathic treatment can be effective I will take them seriously. Until then I will not.

That's OK Kiwi, some NEED science and some in the world are pleased with results.. For some time I was a member of the ABC homeopathic group when I was considering getting into this medicine full boar but just could not go all the way with this medicine ... it takes commitment, not just popping a pharma pill. Wonder what the ABC people would say about cancers and homeopathy...

When I click on a link to a Website with a medical topic, like the one in the first post in this thread, I try to find out if the Website is selling something. It usually doesn't take much digging to find out if it is selling a product or products.

Through this Website, for instance, you can buy a book about the "Rainbow Diet" as well as other books and products.

If I find that a Website is selling something, I back away from it. The chances are that the people who are in charge of that site are more interested in marketing their products than in giving responsible information about medical matters.

Yes, regular MDs in a way are "selling something" too, every time your doctor suggests a remedy to you or writes a prescription for you. That doctor is hoping that you will follow the advice he/she gives or take the rx prescribed. It's entirely up to you, and yes, you're still in a marketplace even in a mainstream doctor's office or clinic.

But at least you're in a community where there are some standards that they have to live up to, with policing agencies overseeing those standards and whether people are complying with them. There's very little oversight in the world of alternative medicine, unfortunately, and there is a lot of marketing of products that are worthless or even dangerous out there.

Why are people so paranoid about companies that sell something so they don't believe the facts of their products. If I had NOT listened to a lecture on Pycnogenol in 1995 by a company that was bringing it into the U.S. and SELLING IT, I would not have appreciated all the Good Health I live with 25 yrs later. And Pycnogenol and Grape Seed Ex are indicated for MS patients also....I often wonder if my sister had been on it would she still be alive today...

You don't think pharma and doctors sell something? Are their drugs free?.

Some people are more comfortable with various alternative care ideas and some aren't...
I use some alternative care for myself, I may share my thoughts to family/others at times if it comes up in a health topic conversation
But I don't press my views onto anyone..

It's not about "pressing" , it's about letting so many know there are Options. Jo Mar, have you ever read the stats on medical mistakes (drugs, surgeries, etc)... I have and if I didn't feel a doctor is a good person to have in your life, I would not. Just talking about this with a friend and she out of the blue came down with afib a few yrs ago and ended up in hospital 5 days and going with a bag full of drugs. She's slowly gotten off some but has "fear" to get off the ones she told would protect her heart. Ironically she believes the afib came from a doctor prescribing high doses of ibuprofen for some pain issues she had some yrs back..

There are many MD's who are heart docs who are now out there advising of heart preparations that are not toxic.... My friend was a huge teacher on my early path with "alternatives"..... Thanks. Hope this has not gone too far astray.

I thought I addressed this in my earlier post:

I guess I missed this agate, but again with all the great major oversight by the FDA on pharma, still there are thousands of deaths from drug interactions.

On the supplement world, believe me and I've heard this plenty the FDA stays ON TOP of the supplement companies and these companies go thru hoops to get their products to the market...they just don't willy nilly produce one etc and out it goes, oh no...

What comes to mind is the HGH homeopathic gel I use, what I've heard the producer had to go thru to get this homeopathic product to the market was almost unbelievable....so it's called FDA registered...and 1000's are benefiting and I haven't heard of any deaths from using, and I'm getting close to 2 yrs.

Again, it where people have spent their time in the healing world and I've spent a lot of my years seeking alternatives to the pharma drugs that docs wanted to write for me. One trip to the ER pushed me over on the use of a drug. Thanks as always.
