WASHINGTON - The House passed legislation Thursday effectively permitting the importation of lower-cost prescription drugs from places such as Canada, Australia and Europe.

The article says Bush wants to veto it.
(I read somewhere that he has stock in one of the big pharma companies here...)

But then, the article says there's lots of other stuff in the bill, too...

I would have thought there would have been people who were eager to get the lower priced drugs from Canada...

no disrespect, but when a country like ours soaks the sick for the sake of big incomes for the rich (I need to research what drug company Bush has his stock holdings in) then I'm not impressed and don't feel like it's a good thing to give approval, tacit or otherwise.

Gramps was friends with Goldwater and I'm all for personal responsibility... but Reagan was way off base.

Look where it's gotten us today: 90% of the wealth in the hands of 10% of the people.

Do 90% of the people really like Oprah and Gates that much?
