Default Ivermectin, drug to Fight Covid and where to get it

A friend just sent me a link and if one can even get a script from their doctor and wants to buy it, it can be found at Amazon Pharmacy. It's been priced sky high and I don't believe I'll ever be looking for it, BUT.

Companies are certainly taking advantage of this crisis.

Doing all I know to keep a strong immune system.

Here we go again.
I would give this to my chickens as a last resort mind you in the event they have scaly leg mites. [Added: prefer to use wood ash. Plus if using on hens the eggs need to be withheld after they've been treated afaik.]

We already had a conversation about this very unorthodox self medication of ivermectin.

It may have been discussed here but what I read it is taken around the world as well as Hydroxychloroquine with zinc. There is the type for animals and the one for humans on the Ivermectin that is.. Thank you.

Ivermectin and COVID-19:
A report in Antiviral Research, widespread interest, an FDA warning, two letters to the editor and the authors' responses.

[Despite the authors' cautious conclusion that Ivermectin "warrants further investigation for possible benefits in humans," the paper has excited widespread interest on medical and veterinary websites, which often incorrectly describe the drug as a treatment or cure for COVID-19. These inappropriate statements led to a warning by the US FDA, that ivermectin in veterinary products should not be used for human therapy.]

Ivermectin and COVID-19: A report in Antiviral Research, widespread interest, an FDA warning, two letters to the editor and the authors' responses

[FDA is concerned about the health of consumers who may self-medicate by taking ivermectin products intended for animals, thinking they can be a substitute for ivermectin intended for humans. People should never take animal drugs, as the FDA has only evaluated their safety and effectiveness in the particular animal species for which they are labeled. These animal drugs can cause serious harm in people. People should not take any form of ivermectin unless it has been prescribed to them by a licensed health care provider and is obtained through a legitimate source.]

Caroline, it's still the same drug though. People are now stockpiling the drug from vet suppliers because they're being falsely directed to misinformation. It is used oral form in humans to treat "onchocerciasis and strongyloidiasis" as mentioned in the NIH and FDA statements above.

I would imagine that if one was diagnosed with either onchocerciasis or strongyloidiasis at the same time as one was diagnosed with Covid-19 then getting rid of the parasite would have to be beneficial, however I personally can't imagine a doctor writing a script for Ivermectin so that their patient could buy the drug on Amazon as you have suggested above. "Ivermectin, drug to Fight Covid and where to get it".

I'm not saying to take either of the drugs being discussed for this Covid but as I understand it they COULD keep people who may end up with serious Covid out of hospital and then perhaps on ventilators and then what could be next? I'm just saying they are being used around the world, from all I've heard, and it is probably very difficult for one to even get a script here in the U.S., again what I'm hearing.

Thanks all for the links on this drug. Believe me I'm not a fan of drugs period.

Vit C, Vit D, Zinc, Quercetin and others are my choice.

Caroline, do you have any evidence that ivermectin is of any use in treating Covid-19 in people.

See this Wikipedia article for details.
