It Takes Guts To Be Healthy: A 21-Day Cleansing Plan to Heal Your Belly & Recharge Your Life

The body is capable of healing itself, but it needs optimal conditions and optimal nutrition to do so. Gut health and the Gut Microbiome influence our health, both mental and physical, through the Gut-Brain Axis. Cleansing the body of toxins is a helpful way to provide those optimal conditions.

This book is interesting because people who go to Julia have severe ailments and have been to every other doctor in town. They go to Julia as a last resort and her detox plan often cures them. This cleansing program can also be used in conjunction with medications or chemo.

Julia says there is a specific order of how to cleanse - First cleanse the colon so toxins have a path out of the body. Then do Juicing to release the chemicals and toxins from cells in the body.

Julia does not recommend the 7 day juice fasts. Her method is to eat an alkaline diet (stop eating acidic foods) that loosens the toxins in the cells. Then Juice one day per week to release the toxins. (for 21 days or a month).

When I did the cleanse, I got rashes all over my body from the toxins coming out. Ridding my body of the toxins helped my recovery.

There is way more info in this book than I can list in this forum, so I recommend reading it.
