Cool Keppra for tremors

Has anyone here ever used Keppra for hand tremors? I am going to my neuro in several weeks (I have M.S.) and I'm thinking of asking for this drug for a hand tremor in my dominant hand which's preventing me from eating properly or writing properly.

From what I've read Keppra seems to have the least side affects of the drugs prescribed for tremors.......

I haven't taken Keppra for the tremors or shaking, but I did take Sinemet which is a medication for Parkinson's and had very good results with it.

A friend of mine takes Keppra for her epilepsy and her only complaint was the drowsiness.

My only complaint about Sinemet is the stomach upset. My neuro (I also have MS) added an additional 25mg of Lodosyn to the RX and it helped a lot.

You might ask about that as well as the Keppra.

Good luck.

Hi Cheryl--

Thanks for the response. I'll be sure to ask my neuro about the medications.

I too have MS and tremors. Although I was prescribed Neurontin for nerve pain it has helped my tremors so much. Because the Neurontin has helped both of these I have never considered anything else.

Let us know how it goes. I'd be interested in hearing what your experience has been should the need ever arise for me to switch.
