Default MS Contin

Hey everyone, I just started taking MS Contin for pain and it didn't do a thing for me yesterday, and my pain doctor told me I have to wait for it to work like 24-48 hours. I am just worried about it not working and then I'll suffer all weekend long. I saw weekend now because the Pain Doc office will be closed for Thursday and Friday. I really feel awful, kind of have a headache and feel like I have nothing in my system for pain relief. Ugh, anyone else run into this problem at a 30 mg dose?

Back last fall my pain dr took me off the patch 50 mg and started me on a namebrand version of ms contin ,anyway I think he gave me 20 mg 1 x a day! Well it did not help me at all and I was having major w/d from the patch I had a headache, aching all over it was very bad. I went back the following Monday in tears and he switched me to oxycontin 20 mg and it was the best thing I ever did. I now take 20 mg oxy 3x a day or every 8 hours with percs 3 x a day for breakthru pain. It seems to be helping but I think I may need to go up a little now due to my pain level. Anyway I would just see if it will help if not the dose may be all wrong or you may not respond well to that drug and need to change alltogether. just inform yourself and next week let your dr know what is best for you.
