Default Can you take tramodol with other........

My new pain dr has me on oxy 20 mg every 8 hours and 10mg percucet up to three a day for break thru pain. My old dr was giving me the same oxy plus tramadol and it worked pretty good my question is this...can I take the tramadol with my other break thru med? I mean should I ask my new dr about it? They helped (not as well as the percucets) but now I think I need to increase either my oxy or more break thru med and I'm just wondering if I added a tramadol with a percucet maybe I would not have to go up on my other dosages. Any advise would be great!

Definitely check with your MD or chemist for reliable advice.
Be VERY careful with mixing drugs. Tramadol is good if you can handle it, but it has a reputation for sending older people loopy. I take it daily, but not at night as it keeps me awake.
I believe the liver is the one that cops it with drugs, so you would want to look after it.
I understand that pain just takes over and you get desperate, but you could even just phone your MD.
