Default Voltaren Gel?

Still dealing with this frozen shoulder.

Doc gave me some Voltaren gel which is a NSAID gel.

Anyone have any experience with it?

Also I do take cellebrex (NSAID) and wondering if I should use the gel sparingly? Neither doc nor pharmacist could really address this.

Aaackkk Shelley! Sorry about the frozen shoulder.

Haven't heard of that treatment, but I truly hope it helps!

Sending you some warm rays of sunshine to thaw things out for you!

Red face Let me think on this....

Frozen shoulder is a tendon problem.

The topical gels do not appreciably get absorbed. But if you use a topical, I would think that an oral type is not necessary.

Frozen shoulder is a different animal....if not associated with an injury...oral Celebrex would have little effect I would think.

I'll look this up for you...and get back.

Lightbulb drugs do not really heal...

I think you could explore physical therapy. Ultrasound and/or IFC can help perhaps. It did for me when I had my hip tendon injury 3 yrs ago.

NSAIDs are not great for healing:

Notice the negative effects listed for Celebrex?

Increasing silica in the diet may help...choosing foods high in silica can strengthen ligaments. But once scar tissue is there, I don't know of a way other than surgery (which is problematic) that will help that or remove it.
