that are best directed to your pharmacist.
Your pharmacy keeps your records and doctors histories. The pharmacy is always the first line you should use to answer particular questions about your medications.

My husband has taken Nuerontin and Hydrocodone together in the past but I agree with MrsD you should ask your pharmacist because the dosage is an important consideration.
I am curious, why do you have two scripts for two different pain killers? That's something to also ask the pharmacist if you are taking them together. Usually you only get one script for one pain killer.

Thanks for the response. I did call my pharmacist, and the hydrocodone is a low dose of 5mg and can be taken for breakthrough pain. I was prescribed hydrocodone initially before the doctors knew I had nerve pain. The two medications are used for pain but in very different ways.

Yep, you can take em together....Apparently there is a synergestic effect when one takes a morphine based pain medicine with Gabapentin. If your Doctor is an idiot, and does not know the basics, find another one. I see you are in NC...if you are by Duke or UNC or NC state, they have the right kind of folks.
