This is typical ploy and not the first time appearing in the news media.

When Zocor and Pravachol were due to come off patent, Newsweek and Time had huge stories that NORMAL people should all be on these drugs!

This is only a ploy by the drug company AstraZeneca to make billions before the patent expires. In fact Crestor is the only statin that damaged people in studies before even being approved. It is the most toxic of them all!

This blog explains just how "unmiraculous" this study really is.

And it echoes other studies with similar results. In other words,
the manipulation of numbers (math) fools people and doctors.

Crestor has been dogged by consumer groups who want it off the market. It is only miraculous in that it has managed to stay available this long. In fact it was already being used when its dangerous first effects were noted on the Asian population and other with certain low enzymes in the liver. One would think that significant toxic effect would show up BEFORE being released? But no, drug companies are so powerful now...maybe with our new President we will see a return to consideration for the PEOPLE of this country, not the select few.
