Hi everyone,
I know there are some places that take unused meds. I have qty 3 unopened 4 oz. bottles of Clobex shampoo, an RX shampoo for itching scalp due to dermatitis or various ailments. It turned out my foam pillow was causing the itching so I don't need this anymore. Does anyone know of a place that takes liquid types of medication? I don't want to throw this out. Thanks in advance...

alot depends on your State. If your state allows donation, I'd look into homeless shelters run by churches. They often have people with scabies/lice which could use this shampoo after delousing. (I know it sounds gross but those are the facts sadly).

A local free clinic has taken meds from us as well as Crosslink International.
Here their link. You would have to mail in though. http://www.crosslinkinternational.net/ Both will only take meds as long as they are unopened and in the original manufacturer's package. Marlene |

Thanks Marlene,
I boxed them up for shipment on Thursday. This stuff costs about $200 for a 4 oz. bottle so I certainly didn't want it to go to waste.

WOW....You can get reciept from them for tax purposes.
Right now I have some meds that cost an arm and leg but they are so specific and fairly new that even docs/pharmacists are not aware of it. So I don't want to give them away if they cannot use them. |

I didn't pay that much for them. I got them from my mail-in pharmacy as a 90 day supply for $35. I did buy one bottle from the local Osco that was around $170 with my insurance discount!
This stuff would be good for someone with psoriasis or similar skin conditions. I was having severe scalp itching and finally discovered it was my new pillow, a foam type. My old feather pillow didn't cause any problems, go figure.
