WOW! Am I glad I stumbled on this thread. DD17 is a dancer and always has some sort of pain. I will be going to Walgreen's today to get some Salonpas.

Of note though, Nanikai, I did see you mention doing a lot of computer work and am wondering if that is aggravating some of your symptoms. Check how you are positioning yourself when you are on the computer, the height of your screen if you are using a desktop, the distance the screen is, etc. When I am not working (I work from home doing a little bit of transcription work) and DD is at school, I use the laptop so I can reposition myself constantly. I have noticed a big difference in neck and shoulder pain. I am making a big assumption here to say that it is because I am not sitting at a desk using my computer as opposed to my MS exacerbation finally being done.;)

On my desk I have my screen at a height where I am looking directly at it, not down or up. I have my chair at a height where both feet are flat on the floor. I try to keep everything ergonomically correct.

Anyhow, just a suggestion for you. I do hope all your pain and swelling is resolved soon.

BTW - mrsD, I am wondering if these Salonpas would work well with the MS hug that I have daily, to varying degrees. Any thoughts? You can PM me on that one as this thread is for NaniKai.
