Hi Rozia - Welcome aboard.
I took Tegretol for epilepsy for a long while some time ago. I don't remember many difficult side effects.

Could I suggest you go down the line of subjects to the Epilepsy Topic and ask there? I think lots of people will be able to answer you but it might be a bit slow due to the holiday season.

Best wishes.

Default tegretol

Hi Rosa
I have been on tegretol for approx 8yrs now, can be a lot of symptoms at
first & until the dosage is right, I am currantly on 800mgs daily, i started at 600 & went up to 900 when on 900mg i got quite toxic after a few wks & felt as though i was dying but feel ok now.
it is important to have your blood levels checked regularly [6 months] in my case. i take it for seizures & pain along with gabapetin 1800, lamotrine 50 mgs , methadone 10mgs & amitriptaline 25 mgs these are daily.
Hope this helps.

My dr.s tried tegretol on me not too long ago, for several reasons... my conditions include epilepsy, rsd /crps, and aids.

I never got to figure out if it would work or not, sorry to say. The migraines it caused were too severe to keep trying. I managed two doses, that's all
